Most booking platforms ask you to sign up before you can see anything. You hand over your email, pick a password, sit through a setup wizard - and only then find out whether the thing actually suits your salon. We thought that was backwards.

/import is the answer. Paste the link to your Booksy, Fresha or Nearcut page into one box. In about 30 seconds, Rexabook shows you a working preview of your salon - your services, photos, reviews, opening hours, the lot - already laid out on a Rexabook booking page. No account, no card, no commitment.

What you actually get

When you paste your link, here’s what lands on your preview page:

  • Your service list, up to 30 services with names, durations and prices, pulled from what’s already on your public page.
  • Your photos, saved to Rexabook so the preview keeps working even if you change your original listing later.
  • Your reviews, tidied up so nothing appears twice.
  • Your opening hours and address, wherever your public page shows them.
  • A shareable preview link at /preview/<your-name> - send it to a friend or a business partner and see how it feels.

The whole thing is a look-only mirror until you claim it. Nobody can book through your preview; nobody can leave a review on it. It’s a try-before-you-buy version of what your real booking page would look like.

How it actually works

You paste the link. We check a few things before doing any real work:

  1. Link check - the address needs to point at Booksy, Fresha or Nearcut.
  2. Fair use - a small hourly limit so nobody hammers the tool.
  3. Have we seen this before? - if your page was previewed in the last week, we take you straight to the existing preview rather than building a second one.
  4. Already signed up? - if there’s already a Rexabook account matching your salon (by phone, email, or business name), we send you to sign in instead. That preview would be your own page.

Only after those pass do we go and read your public page. We keep the results in a temporary holding area, not in the main Rexabook customer database - so your details stay out of the system until you actually claim the preview and decide to become a customer. If your listing tells us which country you’re in (a Booksy salon in Ireland, say), the preview lands with the right currency and timezone already picked. One less thing to type.

A note on where the information comes from: we only look at the same public page anyone can visit in their browser. We don’t touch anything behind a login, we don’t pull customer lists or booking history, and we don’t leave anything running on your source page. If your listing changes later, the preview doesn’t change with it - it’s a snapshot of what was public the moment you asked for it. If you’d rather your page wasn’t previewable, drop us an email and we’ll block it.

What it doesn’t do - yet

A few honest limits:

  • Services cap at 30. If your real menu is fifty services, we take the most prominent thirty. You can add the rest after you claim.
  • Some Fresha links don’t say which country you’re in. When that happens we ask you to pick on the claim form rather than guessing wrong.
  • Booksy reviews stay on Booksy. We show the snippets on your preview, but the underlying reviews belong to Booksy - you’d start fresh on Rexabook reviews (or import your Google Reviews when you claim).
  • Photos are best-effort. Some listings hide their photo galleries behind clever loading tricks; when that happens we get the cover and a few others. Add the rest after claim - it’s drag-and-drop in the setup wizard.

If you hit one of those, the wizard fills the gap after you claim. The preview’s job is to answer “would my page on Rexabook look right?” - not to be a complete move-in.

The claim flow

When you’re ready, two paths from /preview/<your-name>:

  • Passwordless - type your email, click the magic link in your inbox, you’re in. The wizard skips Trade, Services and Hours (already filled in from the preview) and drops you on the photo-and-profile review step. Set a password later if you want one.
  • Register with a password - the more familiar flow. Email, password, and the same pre-filled wizard.

Either way, we spin up your account, copy the preview photos into your own portfolio, and load your service list. You’re live in under three minutes if you keep clicking.

If you’d rather not claim yet, the preview stays available. Come back later and claim it any time - no account is created until you do.

The “while you wait” form

While the preview is being built (twenty to forty seconds depending on how much is on your page), the loading screen shows an optional email box and a “what made you look at Rexabook?” free-text field. Both are optional. If you fill them in, our success team can follow up with the specific question that brought you here.

Nothing about it is required. The preview builds either way. The form is just there because - practically - if you’re hovering on the loading screen anyway, there’s a low-friction chance to ask the question that brought you here.

Why this exists

The honest reason: most appointment-booking platforms have a sign-up step that quietly filters out the people who might have stuck around. “Give us your card details to start a trial” is a perfectly rational gate from the platform’s point of view, and a perfectly rational reason to back out from a salon owner’s. We’d rather show you the thing first.

The same tool is what our team uses when we spot a salon that looks like a good fit for Rexabook - we run the link ourselves and email a “look what your salon would be on Rexabook” preview to the owner. Same machinery, different entry point. If it’s good enough to send to people, it’s good enough to give the public.

The bet is that a fair share of the people who paste a link and see their actual salon on Rexabook in 30 seconds end up claiming it within the week. So far the numbers agree.
