How online booking works, end to end

What a customer sees and does when they book with you online, from picking a service to landing in your calendar.

  1. Picking a service, time, and staff member
  2. Confirm-and-go, not approve-and-wait
  3. What the customer gets
  4. What you see as the owner
  5. If a customer needs to change their mind

Understanding the customer’s side of a booking makes it easier to answer their questions - and easier to spot if something in your setup is getting in their way before they ever tell you.

Picking a service, time, and staff member

On your booking page, a customer chooses a service, then a time from your actual availability, then a staff member if you have a team (or Rexabook picks whoever’s free, if they don’t mind who). Only times that fit the service’s duration and your working hours ever show up as options.

Confirm-and-go, not approve-and-wait

Rexabook books instantly - there’s no owner approval step sitting between a customer confirming a time and it landing in your calendar. If you need to change or decline a booking afterwards, that’s a cancellation or reschedule, not a rejection of a pending request.

What the customer gets

A confirmation immediately, by email and text, followed by a reminder closer to the appointment. See How SMS reminders and confirmations work for the detail.

What you see as the owner

The booking appears straight in your calendar and on the dashboard’s Today view, which is built to answer “what’s on, and what needs my attention” at a glance - upcoming appointments, anything flagged, and any nudges worth acting on.

If a customer needs to change their mind

They can cancel or reschedule themselves without creating an account or calling you - see Cancellations, rescheduling, and your booking policy.
