In this guide
Every plan sends confirmations and reminders by text as standard - what differs between plans is how that texting is paid for and how much of it you get before you need to think about it.
Checking your usage
Settings → SMS shows how many texts you’ve sent this billing period against your allowance, updated in real time as bookings, confirmations, and reminders go out.
How allowance works by plan
On Free and Pay As You Go, texting is funded through the small booking fee (or per-booking fee) the customer already pays, rather than a separate monthly allowance you need to track. On Starter and Pro, you get a monthly text allowance included in the subscription - Starter is sized for roughly 50-100 bookings a month, Pro carries a much larger allowance for busier shops. Each seat added through the Team add-on brings its own allowance with it, on top of the base plan’s.
If you’re running close to the limit
Settings → SMS lets you top up directly rather than waiting for reminders to silently stop going out - running out mid-month doesn’t cancel bookings, but it does mean customers stop getting the automatic nudge that keeps no-shows down.
Reducing usage without losing reminders
If you’re consistently close to your limit, the highest-impact place to look is which services actually need a reminder versus a confirmation only - not every low-value, low-no-show-risk service needs the same reminder cadence as a service where a no-show costs you the most.
