If you’re moving from a paper diary, a spreadsheet, or another booking system, your client list doesn’t have to start empty - importing it means your regulars can book online from day one instead of you re-entering every name by hand.
Why import first
Doing this before you go live means the first booking a returning client makes on Rexabook already has their history attached, rather than starting a duplicate record that you’ll need to merge later.
Importing a CSV
From Clients → Import, upload a CSV with a column each for name, phone number, and email (whichever you have - phone or email alone is enough to import a client, but having both gives you more ways to reach them later). Rexabook matches columns automatically where the headers are obvious, and asks you to confirm anything it isn’t sure about.
Text and email consent
Importing a client doesn’t itself send them anything, but once they’re in the system, booking confirmations and reminders go out the same as for anyone who books directly. If you’re in the US, see SMS compliance in the US for what carrier rules require before those texts can go out.
After the import
Imported clients show up in your client list the same as anyone who’s booked directly - full history, notes, and (once they’ve booked at least once) recurring-appointment and loyalty stamp tracking all work identically regardless of how the client first got into Rexabook.
